Fundamentals Class
Our fundamentals class is perfect for those starting on their Jiu Jitsu journey or those wishing to brush up on important fundamental movements and techniques. The class focuses on the core principles of Jiu Jitsu movements to allow those who are new to practicing Jiu Jitsu to familiarise themselves with the art and become comfortable with the basic techniques before progressing on to our other classes. Throughout the class our students will learn important aspects of self defence, Jiu Jitsu specific movements that help improve body awareness and coordination as well as elements of Sports Jiu Jitsu. In the fundamentals classes we want to provide our students with a strong base of knowledge and physical ability that they can build on in our other classes. Our coaches are here to make you feel welcome and answer any questions you may have during the class.
Advanced Class
Our advanced class is suited for those that already have a grasp of the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu and wish to continue their development. Looking at more complex movements and techniques we encourage our students to also pursue and work on the aspects of Jiu Jitsu that are of interest to them and help guide them in order to get the most out of their time on the mats with us. As well as learning techniques in our advanced class we also take part in live sparring which allows our students to try what they have learnt against a resisting partner, we do not expect all students to take part however it is a brilliant way to put in to practice our skills and continue to build confidence in our abilities. As always our goal is to make our classes accessible to everyone, so once the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu have been learnt we welcome all of our students to try the advanced class. Our experienced coaches will always be on hand to guide you through the class and answer any questions you may have.
Submission Grappling Class (No Gi)
Our Submission grappling class is perfect for those who wish to concentrate specifically on grappling without the gi (jiu jitsu uniform), it is also a great supplementary training for those who already train in the gi. Like all of our classes our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for people to begin or continue developing on their martial arts journey. Throughout the class our students will learn techniques, practice different grappling movements and spar with training partners, all of this is under the watchful eyes of our coaches who are on hand to answer any questions you may have.
